On the marked path, first head towards the vordere Sommerwand, where it then leads right into the south flank of the Vorderen Sommerwand. Continuing straight over a terminal moraine, we reach the silted-up glacier lake at the glacier forefield of the Sommerwandferner. Over this, to the right of the rock head, it goes into the Kräulscharte. From the notch, the path leads directly over the block ridge (I) to the summit.
