From the hut towards Vordere Sommerwand. Pass to the left of the north ridge of Sommerwand. Where the marked trail continues in the southern flank of Vordere Sommerwand and the hut is out of sight, leave this trail to reach the small lake by going left over boulder terrain and sheep pasture. An idyllic spot in absolutely quiet surroundings. The descent can also be done off-trail through the Stiergschwez.
