From the hut towards Vordere Sommerwand. After about 10 minutes, leave the marked path to the right and hike over a grassy ridge high above the Alpeinerbach, parallel to it upstream, until you reach the lake, which lies on a hillside terrace on the northwest slope of the Sommerwände.
