We leave the hut and follow the path to the Kräulscharte. The path leads steeply uphill along a mountain stream over alpine rose-covered slopes. Those who feel confident with climbing difficulties of grade II to III can also ascend to the summit via the so-called Hüttengrat (North Ridge). The normal route runs on the south side over rocky terrain to the subpeak. From the subpeak, a moderately difficult, exposed ridge partially secured with ropes leads to the summit cross.
